RevTrak has recently released version 36.2 for the RevTrak® Web Store and Dashboard. Included in this version update are many exciting new features RevTrak has developed to save you time.
|1.||The security certificate for your Web Store and Dashboard has been updated to provide you with increased reliability for Web Store transactions. As a result of this change, the URL for accessing secure pages (e.g., the Dashboard login page) will be changing. Bookmarks to the former URL will automatically re-direct to the new URL, however it is recommended that you reset your bookmarks after the update. For instructions on resetting your bookmarks, visit these reference pages for Internet Explorer or Firefox.|
|2.||When Dashboard users log in, they will be immediately brought to the new Dashboard layout. (The number of buttons on each row will be dependent on the size of your computer monitor.)|
|3.||The buttons on the new Dashboard have been reordered so that more commonly used buttons are on the top row.|
|4.||Web Store customers now have the ability to select a previously used card or debit at checkout. This eliminates the need for the credit/debit card information to be entered each time the customer is making a payment.|
|5.||Credit/debit cards can now be pre-authorized in the Web Store (in the My Account/Card Accounts section) or in Order Entry (at the Contact Selection screen). For more information on this feature, please refer to How a Web Customer Can Pre-Authorize a Credit Card or Pre-Authorizing a Credit Card Through Order Entry.|
|6.||Credit/debit cards can now be nicknamed for easy reference. Customers can set a nickname at checkout in the Web Store and Order Entry or during credit/debit card pre-authorizations. For more information on this feature, please refer to How a Web Customer Can Pre-Authorize a Credit Card or Pre-Authorizing a Credit Card Through Order Entry.|
|7.||Credit/debit card accounts can be viewed, modified (account nickname only), and removed in the My Account section of the Web Store. For more information on this feature, please refer to How a Web Customer Can Pre-Authorize a Credit Card or Pre-Authorizing a Credit Card Through Order Entry.|
|8.||On Web Stores using RegistrationWerks (version 4.00.03 or higher), customers will now see a personal RegistrationWerks Account link when they sign into My Account on the Web Store.|
|9.||Expanded reporting capabilities are now available and can be accessed through the Reports button on the Dashboard. For further information and instructions on using these new reporting tools, please refer to New Dashboard Reports.|
|10.||Canadian addresses are now accepted and validated.|
|11.||For Web Stores using a RevTrak web service software integration, a link can now be added to the bottom of a customer's receipt to allow them to go back to the external system. Please contact your RevTrak Client Service Representative for further information about this feature.|
|12.||File drop integrations can now be used with Order Entry, allowing Order Entry items to be connected to an import list. Items may be set up the same way they are in the Web Store, with the option of linking a payment to a specific student on a list using a Student ID #, PIN #, or other means of verification.|
|13.||The Skyward Family Access interface now allows parents to pay for multiple students in one shopping cart transaction. Addtionally, parents may now make food service and school fee payments together. Skyward Family Access must be updated to either version 05.12.06.00.01 or 05.12.06.00.01.10.2B for these features to be functional.|

Q. How do we receive the upgrade to Version 36.2? Should we call RevTrak?
A. There is nothing you need to do to receive the upgrade to Version 36.2. RevTrak will be automatically upgrading each of our clients, and your upgrade will occur within 30 business days of when you originally received the email announcing Version 36.2.
Q. Does the new Order Entry checkout layout affect the ability to use a card reader, since "Pay with a Previous Card" is selected as the default option? Am I still able to just slide the card in the card reader and have it process and proceed automatically, without being required to click any additional buttons?
A. The new layout does not affect the ease of use when using a card reader. Though "Pay with a previously used credit card" is selected as the default option, all you have to do is swipe the credit card through the card reader and the system will automatically process it and proceed with your payment. There is no need to click any additional buttons.
Q. When entering a date range in the new reports area, can I just type the date in rather than selecting from the drop-down menus?
A. The option to type the start and end dates for the date range for which you wish to run a report is not available in the new Dashboard reports. You must select from the drop-down menus provided. You do, however, still have access to the old reports, which can be found by clicking on either the Order Management button or the Legacy Reports button on the Dashboard home page.
Q. Will the directions for the new features be available to print?
A. For your convenience, RevTrak has provided a full database of instructional materials in the Knowledge Books section of the E-Z Help Portal. E-Z Help can be accessed by clicking on the button in the upper right corner of your Dashboard. When you have been redirected to E-Z Help, you can browse the various Knowledge Books, accessible from the left navigation column. Printer-friendly versions are available for each book by scrolling down to the bottom of the main page for that book.
Q. Do we still need RevTrak Client installed after we receive the upgrade to RevTrak Version 36.2?
A. The need to continue using RevTrak Client will depend on the purpose it serves for your organization. Some capabilities in RevTrak Client are now available in the RevTrak® Dashboard, while others are not. Please contact your Client Service Representative for assistance determining whether you still need to use RevTrak Client.
Q. Can I see an example of an Excel file downloaded from the Dashboard?
A. Please contact your RevTrak Client Service Representative to view examples of each of the file formats available in the new Dashboard reports.
Q. If a customer has preauthorized a credit card, will that card still need to be swiped if they come into the office to make a payment through Order Entry? Or will it be available for selection in the "Pay with a previously used credit card" drop-down?
A. If a customer preauthorizes or uses a credit card in the Web Store, that credit card will also be available in Order Entry for future purchases. The card will not need to be swiped again. The same applies to credit cards preauthorized or used in Order Entry – the customer will be able to use that card in the Web Store for future purchases without having to re-enter the credit card information.
Q. Will the look of RevTrak Client change after we receive the upgrade?
A. Included with the Version 36.2 upgrade is a RevTrak Client upgrade. The next time you open RevTrak Client after your store has been upgraded, you will be prompted to perform the update. If your RevTrak Client has been set up as a scheduled task, your RevTrak Client will be automatically updated. Please contact your Network Administrator for assistance if you have any problems. The icon that you see on your desktop for RevTrak Client will look different, but the actual look and functionality of the software remains the same.
Q. Who assigns our Dashboard login?
A. Your RevTrak Client Service Representative will set up Dashboard access for any staff in your organization that need it, and will also provide each individual with his/her login information. RevTrak's primary contact at your organization must provide your Client Service Representative with the name, email address, and level of access needed for each person requiring Dashboard access.
RevTrak has recently released version 36.2 SP1 (Service Pack 1) for the RevTrak® Web Store and Dashboard. This version is a service pack release to 36.2, designed to enhance the functionality of the 36.2 release and to resolve some bugs in the software.
Issues Resolved in 36.2 SP1 (36.2.2864)
|1.||Customers may now make purchases using a credit or debit card which includes an ampersand (&) in the name on the card.|
|2.||Customer receipts will correctly display the last four digits of the credit or debit card charged.|
|3.||The Order Entry Shopping Cart addition problem has been fixed.|
|4.||When a payment item is selected in Order Entry and the Edit Item screen appears, the cursor will automatically default to the first available editable field.|
|5.||Import lists in Order Entry will now recognize contacts whose last names contain non-alphabetic characters (i.e. apostrophe, hyphen, etc.).|
|6.||The amount of time a user may remain idle before the Dashboard requires the user to re-login has been increased to 60 minutes.|
|7.||When a staff member at your organization receives an email notification that an order has been placed online, the Order ID link in the email now brings the Dashboard user directly to the receipt for that order, rather than to the Dashboard home page.|
|8.||The ribbon receipt printing feature has been enhanced to provide increased functionality.|
|9.||The Range of Receipts report now excludes abandoned orders.|
|10.||The Deposit by Product, Deposit by Date, and Deposit by Account Code bugs have been fixed.|
|11.||RegistrationWerks (RegWerks) customers are no longer required to create a new customer account in both RegWerks and RevTrak.|
|12.||RegWerks customers with hyphenated last names no longer experience issues with their name being validated.|
|13.||RegWerks no longer duplicates notes in the shopping cart.|
|14.||RegWerks has been enhanced to improve stability and performance with batch payment processing. Occasional issues may continue to arise; if so, the customer will be notified.|

Issues Resolved in 36.2 SP2 (36.2.2901)
|2.||Web Stores using the RevTrak/Skyward Family Access integration will experience fewer instances of in-process transactions being declared abandoned or failed when the Skyward Abandoned Payment Utility report is run.|
|3.||This update prevents a potential issue where payments made to Skyward Family Access could have credited an incorrect amount to the student's Skyward account. Occurrences were limited and have been resolved. This change also enhances the overall security and reliability of the Skyward Family Access interface.|
